Today we started gymnastics in P.E. We had a safety talk first and went over the expectations for working on the equipment.
For language arts we unscrambled the word "sandwich" and made little words using the letters. The students also worked on their stories. In math, we counted by 2s as we collected more items for our store that will be held at the end of the month. The kids also learned about trading money, for example, 2 nickels can be traded for 1 dime or 10 pennies. in social studies this afternoon, we brainstormed a list of Calgary's special places, symbols and images. Tomorrow, each child will pick one to turn into a painting about what makes our home special to us.
