Today was brought to us by the sounds "ch" and "ow" (as in the word now).
In math, the grade 1's used addition to find ways to make the number 10. The grade 2s learned how to break numbers apart by writing their tens and ones. We did some fire writing in the afternoon. In science the students participated in an experiment with "blubber" (we used shortening!) to keep their hands warm in icy cold water just like penguins do. In Phys-ed, we got to use the drum fit balls and sticks to exercise and dance. TOMORROW THE GREEN SIBBALD U. SHEETS ARE DUE WITH YOUR CHILD'S TOP 4 CHOICES. TOMORROW WE WILL BE SNOW SHOEING IN THE AFTERNOON. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR CHILD DRESSES PROPERLY, INCLUDING HAT, MITTS AND SNOW PANTS!
