Today the students had to figure out which was more: 2 dimes and 8 pennies versus 5 nickels and 3 pennies. We found out they were EQUAL!
The students chose something special from their home city of Calgary. They then painted a picture of that image. In math, the students counted dimes and dimes and pennies. They are getting to be good counters and know how to start with the coin that has the highest value first. In P.E. we enjoyed another session working on the gymnastics equipment. In science we predicted what items would stick to a magnet and which ones wouldn't. Just a reminder that THE GREEN SIBBALD U. SELECTION FORMS ARE DUE TOMORROW!
