It was a lovely afternoon for snow shoeing across our field. A big thanks to our two parent volunteers who helped the kids put on the snow shoes and came along with us.
Some comments from the kids" "This is hard work!" "We're walking on top of the snow." "I feel like a penguin!" "I didn't know how to snow shoe but I gave it a try." "I'm hot and sweaty!" We will go out snow shoeing one more time on Thursday afternoon 12:45-1:45 and all volunteers would be appreciated. Back in the classroom, we explored the sounds "oi", "oy" and "ck". The grade twos played some place value games on a website called abcya. You can check it out at home. The grade ones worked on addition number equations using ten frames. We wrote in our fire writing journals and listened to a story about how one author finds ideas for writing.
